Acoustic Consultant
Graduated with a First Class B.Sc in Architectural Technology (2003) and a Master in Philosophy (M.Phil) in Applied Acoustics (2007) from Edinburgh Napier University, and completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control from the Institute of Acoustics (2006). In 2009, became a registered British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT) air tightness tester.
At undergraduate level he worked as a draftsman for the Robust Details programme for Part E of the England and Wales Building Regulations. After working at PDA Acoustics and gaining consultancy experience, Russell undertook a DTI funded Knowledge Transfer Partnership developing bespoke sound insulation systems for the domestic market, while undertaking acoustic design work for new build and refurbishment projects for BCA Sound Solutions.
Russell joined RMP Acoustics in summer 2007 and has undertaken a wide variety of projects including building acoustic design and testing, wind turbine, industrial and commercial noise assessments, as well as being an ANC registered tester and a BINDT registered air tightness tester.
